30 November 2005

LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Furthering its commitment to addressing the needs of diverse populations in Las Vegas, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:HET) is joining Community Partners For Better Health, Inc. (CPBH) in an unprecedented show of leadership and support concerning the elimination of racial and ethnic health disparities in Southern Nevada.

Harrah's has committed $50,000 to CPBH to assist the organization in its mission to enable and empower people of color in Southern Nevada to take responsibility for the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. CPBH was established as a diverse, broad-based collaborative nonprofit corporation of health care providers and professionals, faith community members and other concerned citizens united in a common cause.

"Harrah's Entertainment is deeply committed to aiding Southern Nevada's diverse community through meaningful, strategic and systematic initiatives aimed at providing more opportunities and better options for those in need," said Fred Keeton, Harrah's chief diversity officer. "Harrah's has pledged to make our communities better places to live and work, so we believe our financial support of this organization will help us fulfill our responsibility in doing just that."
