Harrah's Entertainment Reports New Director20 September 2005LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:HET) said seven-year National Football League marketing executive Ty Stewart joined the company's operating subsidiary as director of partnership marketing. Stewart's initial responsibilities will include expansion of World Series of Poker sponsorship, licensing and promotional opportunities. He will be located at the company's Las Vegas corporate headquarters and will report to Jeffrey Pollack, vice president of sports and entertainment marketing. "Ty is a seasoned sports marketing executive with a proven record of value creation and customer service," said Pollack. "His expertise and creativity will help grow our entire portfolio of sports and entertainment programming ventures, but job one is the World Series of Poker. I'm glad he's on our team." Stewart was most recently director of integrated marketing and promotions for the NFL, which won several marketing and promotional awards during his tenure. In his seven years with the league, Stewart spearheaded national promotion and marketing for key NFL initiatives including the playoffs and Pro-Bowl/All-Star balloting. He also was instrumental in creating new promotional platforms, such as NFL Opening Kickoff, Thanksgiving Classics and the Super Bowl Concert Series. Stewart has an MBA in sports marketing from the University of Oregon and is a member of the university's Warsaw Sports Marketing Center Executive Advisory Board. While earning his undergraduate degree at Penn State University, Stewart completed internships at the National Basketball Association and CBS Sports in New York City.
