Harrah's Entertainment Launches Enhanced Hotel-Casino Web Site Using Interwoven9 August 2000SUNNYVALE, California--(Press Release)--Aug. 9, 2000-- Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq:IWOV), the leading provider of enterprise-class content management solutions, today announced that Harrah's Entertainment (NYSE:HET) will standardize on Interwoven Web content management as part of the Fall 2000 re-launch of the casino-entertainment company's Web site. Harrah's will use Interwoven TeamSite software to allow local employees across the company's chain of 21 casino and hotel properties to develop and distribute content quickly and easily. Interwoven will also help Harrah's manage a wide variety of loyalty-building features on the new site, including online hotel and travel reservations, event listings, and special offers for members of Total Rewards, Harrah's loyalty program. A key part of the site re-launch will be the development of individual content areas for each of Harrah's 21 casinos in the U.S. These areas will be accessed via the central Harrah's Web site, and will be customized and updated by about 70 content contributors spread across these properties. Because TeamSite Templating separates content from the way it presented, non-technical contributors can create and edit content using any application, including word processing programs and Web authoring tools. While TeamSite will provide a broad group of contributors the independence to post localized content, it will also give Harrah's site managers the ability to audit all postings and maintain the site's corporate look and feel. TeamSite allows site managers to track the approval process for all versions of content, and it ensures that contributions are appropriately formatted for the Web, thereby maintaining brand consistency. |
