GTECH names new exec22 May 2007PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- GTECH Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., announced that Steven Pare has recently joined GTECH's Corporate Security team as Senior Director, Global Security Affairs, reporting to Walter DeSocio, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. In this role, Mr. Pare will be responsible for a range of global security and security-related matters, including the physical security of the Company's employees, properties, and assets worldwide, and oversight of all gaming-venue security operations. In addition, Mr. Pare will interact with senior law enforcement and regulators in jurisdictions where the Company does business, and maintain a global background and due diligence investigation program. He will also support the Company's overall compliance and governance program through development of proactive security policies and procedures. Mr. Pare has over 26 years of experience working for the Rhode Island State Police. He most recently retired as Colonel/Superintendent, where he was responsible for full operations of the statewide law enforcement agency, including planning and directing all activities of the Division of State Police, preparation of rules and regulations to carry out Division activities, advising on operational and administrative matters, and responding to federal departments/agencies and law enforcement agencies. Mr. Pare graduated from the Rhode Island State Police Academy and the 195th Session of the FBI National Academy. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Bryant College and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island. Mr. Pare, 46, resides in Cranston, Rhode Island with his wife, Jill. They also have two grown children. |
