GroupLotto Announces First Free On-line Lottery for Wireless Phones

PEARL RIVER, N.Y.--(Press Release) -May 15, 2000--GroupLotto, Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of Quintel Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: QTEL - news) announced today that it has made its free internet lottery, GroupLotto.com available for web enabled cellular phones. The announcement makes GroupLotto.com the first wireless application protocol (WAP) enabled Free On-line Lottery available to wireless users.

GroupLotto.com, one of the Internet's premier Internet-based free lotteries, currently averages almost 100,000 plays per day and offers weekday prizes of up to $10 million per drawing.

Eric Aroesty, Chief Executive Officer of GroupLotto, Inc., said, ``Our new Wireless GroupLotto enables us to participate in the rapid worldwide growth for wireless Internet access. This new product will provide new compelling entertainment to web enabled cell phone users, as well as exciting marketing opportunities for our partners and advertisers.'' GroupLotto's wireless application was developed by Moblistics, a leading Wireless Application Service Provider based in Seattle, Washington.

The Company noted that the number of individuals using cell phones for wireless data applications among the US Internet population is set to increase from 3% to 78% in the next 12 months, according to EBU of Cap Gemini America/Corexchange. The Company also pointed out that International Data Corp predicts that by mid 2001, all digital cellular/PCS handsets shipped in the world will be WAP-capable, and by the end of 2002, there will be more wireless subscribers capable of internet access than wired internet access.
