Great Canadian Gaming Corp Purchases Washington Casino

WASHINGTON – As reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal: "GreatCanadian Gaming Corp., a Richmond, B.C.-based casino operator, has completed the purchase of Big Al's Casino in Everett, according to Snohomish County property records.

"Financial terms of the deal, originally announced last September, changed slightly as the deal closed, said David Fretz, executive director of planning and development for Great Canadian. The price was originally $5.8 million in cash, plus 175,000 share-purchase warrants.

"But the cash price of the building and land went up to $1.925 million from the orginal $1.8 million when the seller declined to accept warrants, Fretz said. The casino business itself was purchased in a seperate transaction for $4 million cash, plus warrants, as announced ealier.

"…GreatCanadian, operating its U.S. interests under subsidiary Great American Gaming Corp., plans to have four Puget Sound-area casinos operating by the end of the summer…"
