Gold Strike Casino to Give Away Over $1 Million in Mississippi Million Slot Tournament

Gold Strike Casino Resort is giving away $1.7 million to 240 finalists in the Mississippi Million Slot Tournament, voted Best Slot Tournament in Mississippi by national gaming publication, Chance Magazine.

The Mississippi Million Slot Tournament Finale is slated for Friday, January 19th through Sunday, January 21, 2001 and only one person will walk away with the $1 Million Dollars in cash.

There is still a chance to enter this history-making yearlong slot tournament. Starting January 7-14, Gold Strike Casino Resort will be holding a series of daily Satellite Tournaments where finalists from each round will move to the Tournament Finale. Anyone may enter the Mississippi Million Satellite Tournaments.

Events will be held daily January 7th through the 14th (schedule available on the Gold Strike Web site) with entry fees ranging from $25 to $200 with daily cash prizes from $1000 to $2500 for round winners.

The winners of each individual daily Satellite Tournament will automatically gain entry into the Mississippi Million Tournament Finale to be held January 19th- 21st.

Since February 1st of this year, Gold Strike Casino Resort has been giving its guests a chance at the Mississippi Million through a series of tournaments and events that have gained them entry into the upcoming Tournament Finals starting with the long running weekly "Take Ten" Slot Tournament that was held every Tuesday and Thursday at Gold Strike. Additional Satellite Tournaments have been held throughout the duration of the promotion including weekly tournaments, cash drawings and buy in slot tournaments that have all advanced into the Finale, which will be held January 19th-21st.

Participants who wish to purchase their entry into the Tournament Finale can buy in for $2,500. All 240 Mississippi Million Finalists will receive cash prizes ranging from 240th Place at $500 to 3rd Place at $25,000, 2nd Place at $50,000, and the 1st Place winner will receive the $1 Million Dollar Grand Prize ($1 Million Dollar Grand Prize is a 20 year annuity to be paid in 20 equal payments).
