Gold Strike Casino Resort Offers Another Chance to Become a 'Mississippi Millionaire'

Recently named "Best Slot Tournament in Mississippi" by Chance magazine, Gold Strike's Mississippi Million Tournament is a series of exciting slot tournaments and giveaways to be held throughout the year. The weekly and monthly events will culminate into one final tournament with more than $1 million in guaranteed cash prizes distributed. One person will walk away with $1 million January 21, 2001.

The first phase began February 1 with the Take 10 Slot Tournament. Phase II begins Monday, May 22 and runs through January 1, 2001. A weekly satellite slot tournament, a $20 buy-in grants ten minutes of play. The top three point earners each Monday will automatically earn entry into the Grand Finale tournament in January.

Phase III happens June 14 through June 16 with a $300 buy-in slot tournament. This fee grants entry into the tournament, complimentary hotel accommodations, complimentary meals, a welcoming and rules meeting and an awards banquet, where cash prizes will be rewarded.

The top five winners, as well as five randomly selected players, automatically earn entry into the Grand Finale tournament in January. Approximately 23,000 people will participate in the Mississippi Million tournaments with more than 2,600 guaranteed cash prizes to be awarded.
