Global Sports & Entertainment Projects Record Monthly and Q1 Sales

2 April 2002

LAS VEGAS--(Press Release)--April 2, 2002--Global Sports & Entertainment, Inc. (OTC BB: GWIN) announced today that it anticipates reporting first quarter revenue of $1.9 million and net income of $600,000. These results greatly exceed the Company's previous guidance for first quarter revenue of $1.5 million and net income of $250,000. Global Sports also announced that it has achieved record sales for the month of March and plans to report this dramatic growth achievement in the company's filing of its fiscal first quarter ending March 31, 2002.

Global Sports & Entertainment, Inc. Chairman and CEO Wayne Allyn Root explained, ``Our revenue growth for the March month was even greater than we anticipated. This was the biggest year-on-year growth in revenue for a month in our Company's history. We are confident that we are making significant progress in creating brand identity that will continue to make us the premier advice and information provider in the sports gaming and handicapping industry.''

The Company indicated that sales for the month are expected to exceed $600,000. That compares with just over $180,000 for the month of March one year ago -- approximately a 233% increase in revenues.

``We have established a new barometer among our sales staff with this record month of sales. We attribute the increase in sales to the growing popularity of the March Madness College Basketball Tournament and the record number of sports fans across America now betting on this event. Betting in office pools, in Las Vegas sportsbooks/casinos and on the Internet on March Madness has become a phenomenon. These bettors need professional, winning advice, and as the most high profile sports handicapping company in America, we are fast becoming the advice provider of choice,'' added Root.

The Company recently announced that its Chairman and CEO Wayne Allyn Root, will appear on FOX News Channel's The O'Reilly Factor at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST on Friday, April 5, 2002. The O'Reilly Factor is the most-watched program on cable news.

Global Sports & Entertainment, Inc. is America's only publicly traded sports handicapping company. GWIN specializes in developing and marketing sports handicapping advice and information via television (The Global SportsEDGE), radio, and the Internet.
