Global Interactive Gaming, Stanley Leisure Sign Agreement22 September 2003UNITED KINGDOM – (Press Release) --Interactive Systems Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: ISWI) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Global Interactive Gaming Limited (GIG) has signed an agreement with Stanley Interactive Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanley Leisure Plc, operating Stanley Leisure's on-line betting business. In this non-exclusive agreement, which will provide Stanley Leisure with a share of the wagering revenue, GIG will furnish the technology and operate the system, and Stanley Leisure will be responsible for marketing the product, first level customer support and for processing customer financial transactions. As part of Stanley's marketing undertakings the SportXction(TM) system will be promoted through its on-line websites, through dedicated direct marketing and incentive schemes. The launch is scheduled for the fourth calendar quarter of this year. Barry Mindes, Chairman and CEO of ISWI, stated, 'We are very pleased to complete this deal with Stanley Leisure, one of the United Kingdoms most successful betting and gaming companies. We believe this agreement represents a substantial revenue opportunity for both of our companies. With our exciting array of unique sports betting opportunities we look forward to working with Stanley Leisure to bring our SportXction(TM) system to an even bigger part of the UK market. Additionally, we are evaluating new innovative technologies in an effort to bring our system to Stanley's huge off line customer base.' The agreement is for an initial 12 month term and Stanley Leisure will utilise the SportXction(TM) system for all of the currently available sports of football, cricket, golf and tennis with rugby due to follow for the Rugby World Cup in October this year. |
