Global Cash Access Signs Agreement With Pinnacle

21 August 2002

LAS VEGAS--(Press Release)-- Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc., recently signed a four-year agreement to use the innovative products and services of Global Cash Access (GCA), the leading supplier of cash access, financial management and customer relationship marketing technologies to the gaming industry. Nineteen other gaming properties also signed contracts with GCA

Under the agreement, Pinnacle Entertainment properties - Belterra Casino Resort (Belterra, Ind.), Boomtown West Bank (Harvey, La.), Boomtown Reno (Verdi, Nev.), Boomtown Bossier City (Bossier City, La.) and Casino Magic Biloxi (Biloxi, Miss.) - will have access to GCA's products and services, including the Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1 ATM and QuikCredit.

"Working with GCA allows us to improve cash access operations for our casinos," said Bruce Hinckley, senior vice president and chief financial officer for Pinnacle Entertainment. "GCA provides several cash access products and services across one platform, which helps our casinos operate more efficiently and improves customer service."

GCA's Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1 ATM has become widely accepted due to its convenience to casino patrons and proven profitability to casino operators. Statistics show that a significant percentage of standard ATM cash request transactions at gaming properties are denied because of bad PIN numbers, exceeded limits or insufficient funds. The Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1 ATM eliminates such denials with a patented rollover feature, which gives patrons the option of obtaining funds via a Point of Service (POS) debit transaction or a pinless credit card cash advance.

A gaming industry first, QuikCredit helps casinos tap additional sources of gaming revenue by extending risk-free credit. QuikCredit presents an alternative for patrons who have been denied cash advance or ATM transactions for any number of reasons and for casinos that don't extend credit to middle-level ($100 to $5,000) patrons or don't currently extend credit at all. In addition to authorizing and extending credit, GCA performs all debt collections, enabling casino managers to focus on hospitality and other customer service aspects of their business.

In addition to Pinnacle Entertainment, properties that recently signed agreements with GCA are:

Avi Resort & Casino - Laughlin, Nev.

Bay 101 - San Jose, Calif.

Carson Nugget - Carson City, Nev.

Casino Del Sol - Tucson, Ariz.

Casino White Cloud - White Cloud, Kan.
