Genesis Invitational odds released by William Hill16 February 2021(PRESS RELEASE) -- Several of the world’s top-ranked golfers will be teeing off from Pacific Palisades, California starting this Thursday in the 2021 Genesis Invitational. William Hill has futures available for 98 of the participants plus the field (all others) for this week’s PGA Tour stop. After opening as the +550 favorite, Dustin Johnson is down even further at +500. Rory McIlroy is next at 10/1, followed by Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm at 12/1 apiece. McIlroy was first listed at 12/1 before a swing to his current price. Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are tied for the fifth-lowest odds at 14/1 each, with Bryson DeChambeau nearby at 16/1. Cantlay has had a noticeable move as well, going from 18/1 to 14/1. Other golfers with early odds shifts thus far at William Hill include Scottie Scheffler (50/1 to 40/1), Joaquin Niemann (50/1 to 40/1), Marc Leishman (60/1 to 40/1), Max Homa (60/1 to 45/1) and Cameron Tringale (90/1 to 70/1). Adam Scott finished in first in last year’s Genesis Open, which was the second time he’s won at Riviera Country Club. Scott is tied for the 12th-lowest odds this time around with Jordan Spieth at 33/1. Bubba Watson, a three-time past champion at Riviera, is close behind at 40/1 along with Scheffler, Niemann, Leishman and the field (all others). Even with odds this low among a very strong group, Johnson has still attracted a noteworthy wager early on. A Nevada bettor placed $1,000 on Johnson +550 for a total potential payout of $6,500, which is the largest 2021 Genesis Invitational wager as of now at William Hill. Besides futures odds, William Hill also has 21 head-to-head tournament matchups up for the 2021 Genesis Invitational—highlighted by Johnson (-145) vs. Rahm (+125) and McIlroy (-120) vs. Thomas (EVEN).
