Gambling Website Seeks to Enlarge its Empire5 April 2006UK -- As reported by the Guardian: "Empire Online is on the hunt for acquisitions, armed with the £250m it won in a legal settlement with rival PartyGaming this year. "...It was the subject of two abandoned takeover bids last year. At the top of its wish list is an online sports betting business with little exposure to the US, where online gaming could still be outlawed. Empire reported pro forma gaming revenues of $105m (£61m) for the year, up 102%, and profit of $52m, up 33%..."
