Foxwoods' Slot Revenue Takes Dip15 August 2002MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut –As reported by the Norwich Bulletin: "Slot machine revenue dipped nearly $2 million at Foxwoods Resort Casino last month from the same time last year, a fact one Foxwoods executive chalked up to possibly the month's unstable stock market. "Wednesday, Foxwoods reported a net slot machine win of $72 million during July on an overall handle of $890 million to the state Division of Special Revenue. "…`We're generally pleased with July's numbers, which again demonstrate the strength of our summer season,' Robert DeSalvio, executive vice president for marketing at Foxwoods, said. "…The reported revenue is up from June's reported $66.1 million record-breaking revenues, but casino experts judge slot performance by comparing slot numbers from the same month of the previous year…" |
