Foxwoods Opens Premium Slots Lounge

19 November 1996

MANSHANTUCKET, Conn.-- The world's largest casino has now opened a premium players lounge for $5, $10, $25 and $100 slots machine players. Foxwoods Resort Casino, located between Boston and New York City on the Manshantucket Reservation in southeastern Connecticut, added 164 of the high-end machines and now offers a wide variety of favorites including "Wheel of Gold" and "Triple Triples".

Clearly, the competition is heating up with the new Indian Casino down the road and Foxwoods is taking the challenge. The new slots room provides maximum player comfort, privacy and includes its own lounge, plush oversized chairs and many other amenities.

"We wanted to provide our premium guests with the comfort that they deserve," said G. Michael Brown, President and CEO of Foxwoods. "We value our guests and believe, in the Foxwoods tradition, in going the extra mile for them."

Outfitted with its own dedicated cage and private transaction room, the premium slots player room is designed with three large carousels, each containing six machines. At each machine, players recline in oversized comfortable chairs.

No more dirty fingers as patrons receive an extra dimension of service such as steaming hand towel service. Premium players may relax in a private lounge adjacent to the gaming area. The lounge offers bar seating and service, food service and a large-screen television.

The new slot lounge is located in space formerly occupied by high limit table games. Those and additional new games were relocated to Pit 1 adjacent to the Rainmaker, above the new non-smoking full service casino and Bistro Restaurant.
