Former Station Employees Plead Guilty in Theft Case

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – As reported by the Associated Press: "Five former employees of the former Station Casino in St. Charles have pleaded guilty to federal charges involving the theft of more than $2 million.

"According to prosecutors, the five defendants were employed by Station Casinos Inc. of Las Vegas -- bought in 2000 and now run by Ameristar Casinos Inc. -- as floor workers responsible for paying slot machine jackpots.

"Between January 1998 and March 2001, prosecutors said, the five created false jackpots, kept the false winnings, and destroyed or hid the paper work required to issue the jackpots.

"Pleading guilty are: Lashonda Clark, 27, of Blackjack; Michelle Howell, 35, of Cahokia, Ill.; Demond Ross, 23, of Cahokia; Samarian Tillman, 29, of St. Louis; and Dena Van Norman, 30, of O'Fallon, Missouri…"
