Florida Lottery Grants Four-Year Extension to Scientific Games

NEW YORK – (Press Release) -- Scientific Games (Nasdaq: SGMS) today announced that the Florida Lottery has extended its contract for Cooperative Services and Instant Tickets for four more years. The contract extension was exercised by the Florida Lottery under extension terms contained in the current instant ticket contract. The estimated value of the contract is $65 million over the term of the agreement. Adding to the existing contract, this extends Scientific Games' relationship with the Florida Lottery until 2008.

Lorne Weil, Chairman and CEO of Scientific Games said, "This is very good news for Scientific Games. We have worked very hard to gain the Florida Lottery's approval to extend our contract, and we look forward to continuing our long-term relationship and assisting them increase sales and decrease costs over the next six years. We are very enthusiastic with regard to the instant ticket product in Florida. Legislation was signed into law recently that allows the Florida Lottery to make several improvements in their instant product."
