Five Arrested in Alleged Casino Cheating Scheme in Louisiana28 November 2000KENNER, Louisiana -- Nov. 28, 2000 -- As reported by the Associated Press: "A pit boss at the Treasure Chest casino and four other people have been accused in a scheme in which the employee allegedly falsified information to qualify friends and family for thousands of dollars in cash rebates. "Sheryl Trosclair, of Harvey, allegedly filled out customer rating cards to make it appear they had gambled large sums of money. As a result, those customers qualified for cash-back bonuses from the casino, state police said. "...Trosclair, 44, was booked earlier this month with four counts of attempted theft by fraud. The other four were booked with various theft counts. "...Trosclair had worked at the casino for three years. She has been suspended, Stillwell said." |
