FBI to Interview Former Casino Heads

SHAWANO, Wisconsin – Oct. 28, 2001 –As reported by the Shawano Leader: "The suspension of the two top managers at Menominee Casino Bingo Hotel, and the controversy surrounding it, are now under investigation by the FBI, according to one of the two former managers.

"On Oct. 17, the Menominee Tribal Gaming Commission suspended the licenses of interim general manager Mary Beth DeFazio and acting finance director Linda Beversdorf. The two claim false accusations were made against them in order to permit the suspension of their licenses.

"Beversdorf said Friday that she and DeFazio are to meet with officials from the FBI Wednesday who are investigating the case…"
