EXECUTONE Discusses Indian Lottery Progress

6 November 1996

MILFORD, CT Executone had the following to say about the progress of a National Indian Lottery being implemented on the internet and over the phone system:

"With respect to the National Indian Lottery, the Coeur d'Alene Tribe is currently in the appeals process in the Coeur d'Alene Tribal Supreme Court, with a hearing date currently scheduled for the first quarter of 1997. Kessman added, "We are hopeful that a positive decision in Tribal Supreme Court will make possible a Federal Court decision by the end of 1997. As previously announced, Unistar (an Executone subsidiary) has signed agreements with Internet Gaming Technologies and Casino World Holdings for software licenses and development, system architecture and proprietary technology. The development of these systems is a critical step in the process allowing Unistar to convert from an Internet lottery to a telephone lottery as soon as the legal issues are resolved. The National Indian Lottery is scheduled to be live on the Internet, including a new Home Page that will field trial the lottery-type games and allow people to register and play for fun, by December 31, 1996."

EXECUTONE Information Systems, Inc. develops, markets and supports voice and data systems and health care communications systems.
