Executive Gaming Summit to Welcome Dan Wade, Co-CEO of MGM Mirage

27 September 2000

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) -- Sept. 27, 2000 -- The producers of the Executive Gaming Summit announced this week that Daniel M. Wade, Co-CEO of MGM Mirage, Inc., will be the Keynote Speaker at the Executive Reception at 5 p.m. on October 17, 2000 at the Las Vegas Conference Suites on Convention Center Drive in Las Vegas.

Wade is responsible for several major corporate functions at MGM Mirage, including public affairs, entertainment, corporate security and regulatory compliance. Wade is also responsible for developing synergies within the combined companies and for the sale of non-strategic assets resulting from the acquisition.

The Executive Gaming Summit is a day-long workshop featuring five separate tracks that will provide any casino executive or associate with a well-rounded understanding about the latest technology, issues and developments that concern the gaming industry in the year 2000 and beyond.

The Executive Gaming Summit is produced by three of the industry's premier educational groups to produce gaming's most comprehensive educational event: UNLV's International Gaming Institute, the Casino Management Association and Casino Journal Publishing Group.

Daniel M. Wade, a 25-year veteran of the casino industry, had been Chief Operating Officer of MGM Grand since April 1999. He became Executive Vice President of MGM Grand, Inc. in the fall of 1998. Previously, from June 1995 to October 1998, Wade served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He also is responsible for overseeing the operations of both the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino and the New York - New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and also serves as a member of the Company's Board of Directors and its Executive Committee.

The Casino Management Association is a nationwide network of gaming executives who have joined together to further career professionalism in the gaming industry. The organization started in Las Vegas, where the local chapter is very active. Tony Lewin, Executive Director of the CMA, says the Executive Gaming Summit will provide executives with educational opportunities.
