European Convention Looks at Italy's Online Casino Ban15 March 2006(PRESS RELEASE) -- Ticonderoga Ventures, Inc. announces that the 2006 European Casino Affiliate Convention will discuss the latest controversial issues concerning the Italian Government's decision to block over 600 online casino websites. The Casino Affiliate Convention will be held on April 9 - 10, 2006 in Amsterdam at the NH Grand Krasnapolsky Hotel. It is the largest conference and expo on marketing and advertising for the gaming industry. In February 2006, Italy announced that it would block IP addresses of online gaming sites without an Italian gaming license. The issues that resulted in this decision along with the actions taken thus far, as well as alternative options for gaming site operators will be discussed. Thibault Verbiest will present. He is a founding partner of the Law Firm ULYS, a leading gaming law firm in Europe. The event will also discuss the potential of other countries following similar policies, including technical issues involved with implementing filters for websites containing gambling content. Management options for both operators and affiliates will be discussed. Planning for a crisis in advance is better than dealing with the aftermath of one that has a material adverse result on a business. Toward that end, Peter Milovic, CEO of In Charge will provide the business analysis and decision process required for crisis management, and options available for online gaming industry management in the event of severely reduced internet traffic. Additional topics discussed at the event include European search technologies, software, rakeback for poker, mobile gambling, and others.
