Essnet Interactive Changes Name23 August 2006LONDON, England – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Essnet Interactive, the Swedish server-based gaming company and wholly owned subsidiary of Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ASX: ALL), today announced that it will be called ACE Interactive AB ("ACE"). ACE is a world leading developer and supplier of turnkey Interactive Video Terminal (iVT) systems based on a unique server-based open gaming platform. The ACE system allows centralised management including updates and configuration of games, real-time monitoring, central random number generator and the ability to offer games from any content provider. ACE will be managed as a separate company to enable it to focus on the development of opportunities in the fast growing server based video lottery market. ACE has today also announced the appointment of a new CEO, Michael Koch, to lead its business in exploiting the opportunities presented in the server based gaming arena globally. Michael has had over 14 years experience in the gaming industry initially with the lottery division of Wincor Nixdorf and then subsequently with GTECH. Michael commenced his GTECH career as a Regional Account Manager in Europe, following which he became Managing Director of GTECH Germany. Most recently, Michael was Director of Worldwide Business Development for GTECH Corporation based in Rhode Island. Commenting on ACE Interactive's appointment of Michael, Aristocrat's CEO and Managing Director, Paul Oneile said "Michael's extensive experience within the Lottery gaming segment will be invaluable to the success of ACE. Together with a team that is highly talented and enthusiastic, he will provide a greater focus in executing our strategy for the server-based video lottery market." ACE is currently a platinum sponsor for the World Lottery Association (WLA) and will be demonstrating its leading edge server-based gaming solution at the Australasian Gaming Expo in September and the WLA Conference in Singapore and Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in November. |
