Emerald Casino Files Plans in Bankruptcy Court

ILLINOIS – As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times: "Emerald Casino Inc. filed a reorganization plan in U.S. Bankruptcy Court late Thursday afternoon that could start the clock ticking toward the sale of the dormant casino license it now holds.

"The plan, while detailing potential payouts to shareholders and creditors of the company, did not address specifics about how the license will be auctioned.

"…The plan, already signed off on by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, still needs approval from the Illinois Gaming Board and U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Eugene Wedoff…"
