Elevation Entertainment plans for new resort casino in Reno

29 November 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- California-based Elevation Entertainment has submitted plans to the City of Reno for the prospective development of a new resort casino experience. The new entertainment destination, currently coined Firecreek Crossing Resort-Casino, is intended to expand accommodations and lodging options for tourism and business travel given its close proximity to the Reno Sparks Convention Center, while also adding high-end entertainment and gaming options in the area.

After exploring cities in the West to develop a new project, Elevation saw an opportunity for a new entertainment establishment in Northern Nevada. With gaming and entertainment as a major pillar of the regional economy, Elevation saw the underused land across the street from the Reno Sparks Convention Center as an opportunity to uplift the area with new lodging, gaming and recreation activities to the area frequented by visitors and locals alike.

“When thinking about where to launch our next project, Reno was an obvious choice,” says Ryan Stone, CEO/Owner of Elevation Entertainment. “Reno is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, so bringing a new entertainment destination with its already-recognized gaming industry and ideal location for building, we see this new and exciting project as appealing to the entire marketplace.”

The highly desired surrounding land has been sought after for decades. Elevation intends to combine 20-acres of land located directly across from the convention center with an adjoining entrance to the Firecreek Shopping Center. The project will feature a best-in-class resort casino that leverages the mountain views and embraces Reno-Tahoe’s outdoor aesthetic. The project plans currently include:

- 201 hotel guest rooms and suites

- 62,500 square-foot gaming floor

- 1,250 slot machines

- 40+ table games (including poker)

- Sportsbook

“A gaming license is a privilege and we take that responsibility very seriously,” said Masis Kevorkian, President/Owner at Elevation Entertainment. “We will strive to be true community partners and amplify what makes Reno-Tahoe a global destination for both leisure and businesses.”

Elevation has developed successful gaming projects including Seven Mile Casino in Chula Vista and The Saloon and Tavern at Stones Gambling Hall in Sacramento County. The key players in Elevation Entertainment are also principals in the Monarch Group, a real estate investment and development firm established in 1997 with more than $1 billion in real estate entitlement, development, and direct property investment—encompassing over 18,500 residential units in Western U.S. markets.
