Electronic Game Card receives PAF order13 June 2007NEW YORK -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Electronic Game Card Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: EGMI), the creator of the Electronic GameCard(TM), today confirmed that The Aland Penningautomatforening ("PAF") has placed its first order to use Electronic GameCards(TM) as part of its player recruitment and brand development campaign during the PAF Open, SWATCH FIVB Beach Volley-tournament on the Aland Islands from 14-19 August 2007. PAF, founded in 1966, is an association governed by public law, whose goal is to raise money for the public good by offering gaming to the public. PAF is, by the Provincial Aland Government, entitled to arrange gaming on Aland, onboard ships and on the Internet. PAF manages gaming operations in the independent province of Aland, onboard vessels in the Baltic area, such as Viking Line and Tallink Silja, and gaming on the Internet with, among others; casino gaming, several lottery and scratch games and sports betting in different forms. Internet gaming offers betting, games of skill, slots, bingo, poker, casino and lottery games. The PAF gaming portfolio in its entirety comprises operation of slot machines, casinos, betting, bingo, lotteries, totalisators, and amusement games. Krille Mattsson, PR Manager at PAF, said: "We are looking forward to seeing how the Electronic GameCards(TM) will attract potential new customers during a big international Beach Volley-tournament in the centre of the Aland Island capital Mariehamn this August." A spokesperson for Electronic GameCard Inc said: "We began discussions with PAF two months ago to develop a promotional prize give-away to drive interest in an international volleyball match. We are delighted that PAF is using our innovative and engaging GameCards to drive their player recruitment and brand building campaign. These GameCards are an effective, cost efficient promotional device, ideally suited to delivering the campaign's revenue objectives through awareness and familiarity of the types of games available, both onboard ferries and cruise ships in international waters and via the internet. Securing this sale has gained Electronic GameCards(TM) further penetration into the Nordic region." |
