Dutch Court Shuts Down Ladbrokes Website28 January 2003HOLLAND – As reported by the Europe Media: "A Dutch court has given British betting and gaming concern, Ladbrokes, three days to close its Dutch gambling website or face a daily fine of E10,000 (US$10,826). "…According to [Dutch lottery foundation, Stichting de Nationale Sporttotalisator], Ladbrokes, whose website allowed Dutch punters to bet on lotteries, football games and the like, was operating without the special gaming and gambling licence issued exclusively by the foundation…" |
