Downtown Grand's 'Third Thursday on 3rd' kicks off festival weekend18 September 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- With Life is Beautiful weekend just days away, the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino is preparing for its official kick-off to festival weekend with another Third Thursday on 3rd nighttime food truck and live art experience; but as an official partner of Life is Beautiful 2017, this month's event has a few more beautiful reasons for fans to hit the downtown streets one-day early and hopefully relieve the stress of all those who "so can't wait." 1. FINAL Chance To Win Life is Beautiful Passes! That's right! It's been sold out for months but the Downtown Grand is breaking into their secret stash. This 3rd street kick-off event on Thursday, September 21 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. will give attendees a final chance to win passes to the city’s largest concert event of the year PLUS tickets to the official Life is Beautiful Daytime Pool Party featuring Capital Cities on Saturday, September 23rd atop the Citrus Grand Pool Deck at the Downtown Grand. 2. Live Art! Secret Walls will provide 90-minutes of thrilling LIVE art action featuring four of the most talented artists on the roster. These artists will go toe-to-toe under the 3rd street lights in a live art installation battle with each team vying for the monthly crown. Even more beautiful? The final renderings will be auctioned off with ALL of the proceeds going to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Third Thursday on 3rd is serving up a delicious helping of food trucks ready to please the hungry masses. This month’s headliners will feature some of the most beautiful trucks in the city including Waffle Love, Cookie Bar, Truk-N-Yaki, Dragon Grille, Blitz Boba and Slidin’ Thru; which includes a couple of treats from the official Life is Beautiful "Taste" line-up. |
