Dover Downs hosting three-day poker tournament 'getaway weekend'14 December 2015(PRESS RELEASE) -- Six tournaments in a three-day period, including a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool on Jan. 2, are the centerpiece of the January Getaway Weekend in the Poker Room at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. The Poker Room's latest Getaway Weekend returns on Jan. 1-3, with rooms at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino only $49 for all three nights with a tournament registration for that day's event. The no-limit Texas Hold'em tournaments for the weekend include: -- Friday, Jan. 1, 11:15 a.m.: $2,500 guaranteed, $65 buy-in, 10,000 starting stack, 20-minute blinds -- Friday, Jan. 1, 7:15 p.m.: $10,000 guaranteed, $125 buy-in, 12,500 starting stack, 25-minute blinds -- Saturday, Jan. 2, 11:15 a.m.: $30,000 guaranteed, $240 buy-in, 15,000 starting stack, 30-minute blinds -- Saturday, Jan. 2, 7:15 p.m.: $1,500 guaranteed, $35 buy-in -- Sunday, Jan. 3, 11:15 a.m.: $2,500 guaranteed, $40 buy-in, 7,500 starting stack, 20-minute blinds -- Sunday, Jan. 3, 6:15 p.m.: $500 guaranteed, $35 buy-in, Deep Stack Turbo In addition, there will be two Super Satellite events for the $30,000 guaranteed tournament, where one in 10 players wins a seat into the Jan. 2 tournament. Super Satellite times are as follows: -- Monday, Dec. 28, 7:15 p.m.: $34 buy-in, 12-minute blinds -- Thursday, Dec. 31, 7:15 p.m.: $34 buy-in, 12-minute blinds Texas Hold'em cash games pay $2 per hour in January, with hours tracked weekly Sunday through Saturday. With a 25-hour minimum necessary to qualify, cash can be collected the following Friday through Sunday. All cash games also pay $1 in comps per hour in January, with no minimum to qualify. Other January highlights include a $50 food comp for the highest winning hand each day between 10 a.m. and noon, $300 for the highest winning hand from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and a royal flush bonus worth up to $600.
