Don King: Pulls Out of Atlantic City6 August 2001ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – August 6, 2001 – As reported by the Philadelphia Daily News: ``Promoter Don King has withdrawn his application for a casino-service industry license renewal, closing the door on promoting any fights in Atlantic City for at least a year. ``His lawyers said he has no interest in staging fights in Atlantic City anymore…" ``…Charles Lomax, counsel to Don King Productions, Inc., said Atlantic City casinos can't match the site fees offered by their Las Vegas counterparts…" |
