Daily Racing Form Prepares Bettors for Breeders' Cup

More than $100 million will be wagered in North America on the eight Breeders' Cup races worth $13 million on Oct. 27 at Belmont Park.

The Breeders' Cup Advance Edition ($5), which offers the earliest printing of past performance lines for all horses pre-entered into the 2001 Breeders' Cup, will be available at racetracks, newsstands and simulcast outlets beginning Thursday, Oct. 18.

DRF online visitors and subscribers will have convenient access to the complete product a day earlier, via drf.com, beginning at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

In conjunction with the Breeders' Cup Advance Edition, Daily Racing Form will hold informative Advance Edition seminars on the weekend preceding Breeders' Cup Day, October 19-21. DRF's cadre of outstanding writers and handicappers will provide in- depth analysis of all Breeders' Cup races at racetracks, off- track betting sites and casinos in New York, California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Nevada and Toronto, Canada (the full seminar schedule is listed below.) Free issues of the Breeders' Cup Advance Edition be distributed to all attendees (while supplies last).

In addition to the complete lifetime past performances for all Breeders' Cup eligibles, the Breeders' Cup Advance Edition will include Beyer Speed Figures and Timeform Ratings (the European ratings system based on speed and class for all races run in Britain, Ireland, France and the UAE) for all pre-entered horses and the earliest morning line and graded handicap of the eight races by DRF's national handicapper, Mike Watchmaker.

Trainer Form and the Tomlinson Ratings, two crucial handicapping features in DRF's past performances, will be incorporated into the Advance Edition. The Advance Edition also will include an historical recap of all previously contested 17 Breeders' Cup events, including official race charts.

Breeders' Cup $10K Betting Voucher Awaits in Advance Edition

For the fourth consecutive year, a bonanza may await the purchasers of the DRF's Advance Edition: everyone purchasing an Advance Edition will have the opportunity to win a $10,000 betting voucher for the $5 million Breeders' Cup Ultra Pick 6 Sweepstakes.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a $10,000 Ultra Pick 6 voucher, plus a deluxe trip for two to attend the Breeders' Cup, consisting of roundtrip airfare, two reserved seats, and three nights' hotel accommodations. Four runners up will receive $500 vouchers for the Breeders' Cup Pick 4. Entry forms will be available in the Advance Edition, as well as on drf.com (only one e-mail entry per person will be accepted). All entries must be received (mail, fax or e-mail) by Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. ET.
