Crystal Park Casino hosts charity poker event20 September 2007LOS ANGELES, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Los Angeles Youth Network, a charitable organization dedicated to helping Los Angeles' homeless youth, has announced today that they will hold their second annual celebrity poker tournament and party on Saturday, September 22nd, 2007 at the Crystal Park Casino in Los Angeles to help raise funds to build a new independent living facility for LA's homeless teens in need. Established in 1986, The Los Angeles Youth Network is a non-profit organization that was created to help abused, neglected and homeless adolescents become self-sufficient. The organization provides street outreach, food, emergency shelter and transitional living programs with a professional, caring staff in a nurturing and safe environment. The proceeds from this year's celebrity poker tournament, party and silent auction will be used to help build a new independent living facility to house a vastly growing number of youths that are aging out of the system, in order to help them stay on track in life and transition them into a healthy adulthood. "We are thrilled to host this event for the second time," said Liz Gomez, LAYN's Executive Director. "We would like to thank all of our supporters who made last year's event such a success and of course all of the wonderful people and companies who are on board with us this time around. This one is going to be for the record books!" The sponsors for the Second Annual "All In For The Kids" event include Entertainment Partners, who will be honored at the event for their charitable endeavors, graphics giant NVIDIA Corporation, who aside from supporting LAYN will donate computers to the shelters currently operated by the charity, American Airlines, Wachovia Bank, Svedka Vodka, who has created a special drink for this event called the "Supportini," Beleza Pura Caipirinha, XpressPrint printing services, Gerge Fine Watches and the newly renovated Crystal Park Hotel & Casino that is hosting our event for the second year in a row. |
