Cryptologic Jumps As Internet Gambling Ban Fears Ease

TORONTO, Ontario – Nov. 3, 2000 – As reported by Reuters: "Shares of CryptoLogic Inc. (Toronto:CRY.TO) (NasdaqNM:CRYP), which provides software to Internet casinos, jumped on Friday as investors began to think U.S. legislation to ban Internet gambling was on the way out.

"CryptoLogic, a Canadian company whose software enables secure transactions over the Internet for online casinos around the world, saw its shares rose more 14.0 percent to an intrady high of C$19.75. Late in the afternoon, they were up C$2.05 at C$19.30.

"…CyrptoLogic was trading up more than 10 percent at $12 1/2 on the Nasdaq index during late afternoon.

"CryptoLogic's shares have traded below C$20 since October, compared to a 52-week high of C$68.50 reached in early March..."
