Court Dismisses Suit Against Park Place31 March 2002Memphis -- March 29, 2002 -- As reported by the Memphis Business Journal: ``A lawsuit against filed against Park Place Entertainment Corp. by Scutti Enterprise LLC seeking $500 million in damages has been dismissed with prejudice by the court. ``Park Place operates two casinos in the Memphis region, employing about 4,000 people. ``The lawsuit, dismissed March 13, alleged that Park Place wrongfully interfered with Scutti's relationship with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe pertaining to the proposed redevelopment and management of the Mohawk Bingo Palace. ``The lawsuit originally had been filed in October 2001 in New York, according to Park Place's annual report, filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission..." |
