CORRECTION: $414,119 Jackpot Was Not Largest Online Prize27 September 2001Earlier this month, we ran a press release from The Sands of the Caribbean Online Casino about a player at its site who won more than US$414,119 playing the Rags to Riches progressive slot game. The Sands said this was a record prize for an online game. A spokesman for Plus Lotto, which operates from Liechtenstein, points out that back in 1997, a player at its site won the equivalent of US$852,250 for picking the correct six numbers in the Plus Lotto Web lottery. As far as we know, this stands as the record prize for an online game. While $414,119 is still a lot of money, it ranks second in the history of big Web wins.
