Connecticut Slot Revenue Breaks Another Record21 September 2001MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut –– Slot machine revenue at the Foxwoods Resort Casino hit $76.8 million in August, breaking the record of $73.8 million set the month before. Bill Sherlock, Foxwoods president and chief executive officer, said the casino has added nearly 600 slot machines since July 2000, when revenues also hit a new record. With the record revenue comes a record share for the state, $19.2 million. Under an agreement with Foxwoods, the state gets 25 percent of the casino's net slots profit. |
