Compulsive bingo thief sentenced

27 July 2001

This week, an Ohio woman, who bought instant bingo cards with another person’s credit card, was sentenced to two years probation. Judith Laux purchased bingo cards to the sum of more than $26,000 with an elderly woman’s credit card. 49 year old, Laux appeared before the court, which appeared to be far more interested in the bingo parlor owners who claim they are raising money for charity, but pocket the proceeds. Although law enforcement officials have been attempting to crack down on shady bingo parlors, it appears they have yet to call bingo!
