Com2us to Develop for Cash-U Platform14 May 2002KOREA – (Press Release) -- Com2us, the Korean developer of mobile games, has announced that it will create titles for Cash-U's Pecan platform. Pecan is used by a number of network operators to manage and deploy mobile Java games to subscribers. It is supported by the Pistachio SDK, which will be used by Com2us to create J2ME games. Cash-U also provides an applications portfolio known as Peanut Butter, which enables developers to offer their applications to operators using the Pecan platform. Com2us has already created over 50 mobile entertainment titles for operators, including casino, role playing and arcade games. Henry T Yeh, COO of Com2us, said: "We are already a successful developer of J2ME applications within Korea and abroad, but we wanted to partner with an industry leader such as Cash-U. Cash-Us global track record will support us as we move into the European mobile gaming market. We are also delighted that the applications we develop with Pistachio will be 'plug and play' on Pecan, so we will have the opportunity to work with Cash-Us customers, such as Omnitel - Vodafone, Telefonica and WIND." Amir Peleg, CEO of Cash-U, added: "Com2us' decision to use Pistachio to develop J2ME applications re-enforces our success, and will also bring a new level of creativity and innovation. To date, Pistachio has had more developer downloads than any other SDK in the mobile gaming industry. Our relationship with Com2us will also help us to continue developing our presence within the Asian market." |
