Colorado Gaming Agency's Overhaul Complete8 October 2003COLORADO -- As reported by the Denver Post: ``The Colorado Division of Gaming has been overhauled, led by the appointment of Mark Wilson as the division's top official. ``The division also has a new chief of investigations and new agents in charge in Cripple Creek and Black Hawk, the state's primary gambling towns. ``The changes come at a difficult time for Colorado's limited-stakes gaming industry, which is dealing with stagnant revenue and a ballot initiative that would bring competing slot-style gambling to five racetracks along the Front Range. ``Wilson replaces Tom Kitts, who resigned in June amid a multi-agency investigation into allegations that division employees collected and profited from chips made for the casinos they regulate. ``… Wilson, who was formerly with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, becomes the division's fourth director…" |
