Colorado Casino Take Increases

LAKEWOOD, Colorado -- Colorado casinos reported $56.8 million in adjusted gross proceeds in November, up 6.3 percent over the same month in 2001.

The adjusted gross total is the difference between the money wagered and paid out by casinos.

Black Hawk's 20 casinos accounted for $41.8 million of the adjusted gross proceeds in November. Cripple Creek's 17 casinos generated $11 million, and Central City's five casinos generated $3.7 million.

Gambling tax revenue totaled $8.7 million in November, up from $7.3 million in October.
