Colorado casino fined16 November 2006LAKEWOOD, Colorado – As reported by the Rocky Mountain News: "The Colorado Gaming Commission levied a $100,000 fine against Central City's new Century Casino, citing problems with its accounting procedures and other administrative issues. "The casino opened in July and is operated by publicly traded Colorado Springs-based Century Casinos Inc. "'We had concerns about how the casino's business was being conducted,' Gaming Division Director Ron Kammerzell told the regulatory panel at its public meeting here. "Kammerzell said the casino's problems did not affect patrons, but violated gaming regulations nonetheless. "The casino had difficulty producing required statistical reports, among other shortcomings…" |
