CIBC World Markets adds "All-Star" Analyst22 March 2000NEW YORK, N.Y., March 22 (Press Release) - CIBC World Markets is pleased to announce that William R. Schmitt has joined the firm's Equity Research Group in New York as an Executive Director covering Gaming and Lodging. Bill joins CIBC World Markets from Wasserstein Perella Securities where he has followed the gaming industry since 1998. Prior to Wasserstein, Bill was employed as an analyst by Gerard Klauer Mattison in New York. He has also worked for Moran and Associates in New York, which he joined in 1989 to cover the cable, cellular, gaming and leisure industries. In 1997, Bill ranked in the top ten among all casino and lodging research analysts in the Reuters Survey on investment banking/research firms. In 1996,Bill was also selected as an All Star for stock picking in The Wall Street Journal's "All Star Analysts Survey." He has an MBA from Fordham University and a BA from Hobart College.
