Churchill Downs New Simulcast Agreement Approved20 November 2003LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – (Press Release) -- Representatives of the Churchill Downs Simulcast Network ("CDSN"), a wholly owned operating unit of Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN), and the Southern Racing Cooperative ("SRC") today approved a new agreement to allow the export of CDSN racing signals to SRC member racetracks. The agreement, effective immediately, covers 12 of the 13 racetracks included in CDSN's previous simulcast agreement with the SRC: The Downs at Albuquerque, Fair Grounds, Oaklawn Park, Prairie Meadows, Retama Park, Ruidoso Downs, Sam Houston Race Park, Southland Greyhound Park, Sunland Park, Sun Ray Park, Tampa Bay Downs and Valley Greyhound Park. "Churchill Downs Simulcast Network is pleased to renew its agreement with our SRC simulcast partners and provide our popular racing signals to customers served by SRC member racetracks," said Karl F. Schmitt Jr., president of CDSN. "Providing high-quality, competitive products to race fans across the country is CDSN's top priority, and we are glad to be moving forward with our SRC partners." "The Southern Racing Cooperative is delighted to have an agreement in place that will allow us to bring CDSN signals -- including Churchill Downs, Hollywood Park, Calder Race Course and Hoosier Park -- to our customers," said Bobby Geiger, SRC spokesman. "Business negotiations are seldom easy, but we are happy to have reached resolution on this matter and look forward to the remainder of the CDSN racing season."
