Churchill Downs Honored by CIO Magazine15 August 2005LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq:CHDN) has been named a recipient of the "Bold 100 Award" from CIO Magazine. CDI is being recognized in the publication's August 2005 issue. The award is designed to honor excellence in organizations that display boldness in the conception and execution of their business strategies and acumen in dealing with the risks that those moves entail. "Churchill Downs Incorporated is honored to accept this award in recognition of our continued efforts to introduce cutting-edge CRM practices to our company," said Chief Operating Officer Andrew G. Skehan. "We are pioneering this technology in our industry and adding value for both existing and new customers through our new database marketing techniques. We look forward to finalizing our infrastructure as we move towards full implementation and providing the best experience possible for our patrons." Shah and other CDI representatives will be on hand to accept the honor at the seventh annual CIO 100 Symposium and Awards in Coronado, Calif. on Aug. 23.
