Check Out These New Games

5 June 1997

LAS VEGAS -- Casino Data Systems has unveiled many of its latest slot machines at a two day event hosted by the Company in Las Vegas.

CDS' Reel Appeal(TM) slot games, which use the patented Telnaes virtual reel technology, have been improved to add player excitement and loyalty, said a company spokesman. Safe Cracker(TM) is a slot game equipped with a secondary feature that depicts the dial on a combination lock. Players try to break a randomly selected three-number combination to reveal a multiplier for bonus awards.

Tournament slot is a traditional slot game with a special feature that will allow casinos to run live, pari-mutuel slot tournaments automatically. Equipped with touchscreen monitors that are linked to a PC network, Tournament slot games can monitor tournament participation and results, as well as automatically switch the game in and out of tournament mode.

CDS' flagship multi-site progressive game, Cool Millions(TM), is being improved to increase player appeal. Along with its new look and four new game models, Cool Millions will be a two-coin, three reel game, which gives players more play for their money and more chances to win the progressive jackpots. As always, Cool Millions pays the first million coins INSTANTLY on the top jackpot.

Not to be left behind the newer competitors like Silicon Graphics, CDS' newest generation of multimedia games has been developed to provide a higher level of player entertainment. The Bandit series features high-end animated graphics and CD-quality sound. "The gaming market is evolving. Interactive, multimedia games are a dynamic segment of this market, and CDS intends to be the leader in creating this technology," said Weiss.

CDS featured three video reel game themes from the Bandit series. Reel Sports(TM) games allow the player to play a sport in conjunction with video reel slots. Using CDS' patent pending Smart Card feature called "Season Pass(TM)," players can keep track of their "season statistics," which will generate game loyalty. This feature poses great marketing possibilities for slot clubs. Other game themes included a gold mine theme and a futuristic marble coaster. The Company will expand the library of Bandit games with other titles in the future.

CDS expanded its video poker line with the introduction of many new games, including two new models of its recently introduced Reel Deal(TM) video poker games. Reel Deal games feature an on-screen video reel for increased player entertainment. The new models allow players to win bonus payouts on hands of 3-of-a-Kind or Better, and Straights or Better. To add to its MSP (Multi-Site Progressive) game line, CDS presented a new Progressive Link that includes various types of video games. Players can participate in the chance to win the progressive jackpot with a one-coin side bet. Some of the video games shown on the Multi-Site Progressive Link were Reel Hot Aces(TM) and Space Blaster(TM). Reel Hot Aces features on-screen video reels that show card values, which are combined with the standard poker hand to offer the players the chance for bonus payouts on 3- through 7-of-a-Kind hands. Space Blaster is a five-reel, five-line video reel game that offers the player a bonus second screen in which the player shoots at enemy targets for the opportunity to earn up to 10 times the winning payout.
