Check Out the Beta of Galaxi World

7 August 1997

TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands -- If you're looking for something a little different, check out what Gaming Lottery Corporation is doing. The business story is interesting enough. A company which has long been in the gaming industry, producing such products as paper pull tabs, decided to scrap the whole business and go electronic. It's betting the shop on the advent of online gaming and is hitting the cyberstrip with a new addition that's really quite interesting. You can check out GalaxiWorld gaming and entertainment website at www.galaxiworld.com.

It makes use of VRML, a 3-D virtual reality environment complete with avatars which will give you a new identity online.

GalaxiWorld is a beta function gaming and entertainment website that allows users to register and obtain "fun" money to use to play either "Sonic Slots" or "Draw Poker". Users will also be able to navigate through the site's 3D virtual reality casino, lobby and sports lounge.

Commenting on the launch of the beta test site, Jack Banks, President and CEO of Gaming Lottery Corporation, stated, "We are extremely pleased to launch the much anticipated beta test site, on schedule, and begin to establish a leadership position for GalaxiWorld in the rapidly growing Internet gaming marketplace. This site will enable GLC to clearly differentiate GalaxiWorld from other sites currently on the Web and demonstrate the superior quality of this product. Additionally, it will allow us to test the firewall security, player registration and telecommunications aspects of the site, which follows months of exhaustive internal testing. During this time, GLC will continue to develop additional aspects of the site and begin aggressively marketing and advertising galaxiworld.com."

Mr. Banks continued, "The company remains on track to go live with the site in early 1998. We expect to be operating for real money in the company's first fiscal quarter, ending April 30, 1998, with Video Slots, Video Poker, Sic Bo, Roulette, Black Jack, Baccarat and Keno, as well as our advertising functions. This installation will be followed by Poker, Craps, Australian 5 Reel Slots, Bingo, Lotteries, Pai Gow, our CyberMall, Chat Lounges and Interactive Games.
