CDS' Bingo Slot Game Receives GCB Approval

30 March 1999

Casino Data Systems(R) announced this week that its flagship multimedia bingo game has received formal approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The approval comes after a successful 60-day field trial period at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino, Bally's Las Vegas, and the Rio Suite Hotel & Casino. Results were impressive. "The CDS bingo game is doing 70 percent above house average and five times better than the games that were previously in the same location," said Mike Olewiler, slot Analyst and director of promotions for Coast Resorts.

Bally's Las Vegas Senior Vice President of Slot Operations Charlie Lombardo for agreed. "I was pleasantly surprised at how well CDS' bingo game has been accepted by our customers," Lombardo said. "The CDS bingo game is performing at 70 percent above house average and is among the top five of all nickel games on our floor, despite its relatively poor location."

The Bandit Bingo game combines the popularity of video slots with the excitement of Bingo. Like a traditional video slot game, the player spins the reels to line up certain symbols for customary payouts. Simultaneously, as the player spins the reels, bingo ball symbols appear on the reels. Like a conventional bingo game, as these symbols match corresponding numbers on the player's "bingo card," the card is "daubed". When the player daubs all the symbols on their chosen bingo card configuration, 3-D bingo balls bounce in celebration to reveal the bonus payout.

CDS' Bingo slot games are also available in various GLI jurisdictions, including Native American and riverboat casinos throughout the U.S.

"We are extremely excited about rolling out our Bingo game to the Nevada casinos," said CDS Chief Operating and Financial Officer Lee Lemas "The reception of bingo has been so tremendous in other jurisdictions that we are thrilled to have over 470 games already committed to casinos in southern Nevada, with the list continuing to grow."
