Catch a Flight to Mississippi

The joint marketing partnership will provide flights to and from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (HOU), Nashville (BNA), Ft. Lauderdale (FLL), Tampa (TPA) and AirTran's hub, Atlanta (ATL). The service will begin March 15, 1999 to coincide with the opening of Beau Rivage, a world class destination resort developed by Mirage Resorts, Incorporated. Reservations and ticket sales for all flights were made available February 6. The service will increase the daily flights in and out of Gulfport/Biloxi Regional Airport from 21 to 29 flights daily, increasing the amount of incoming seat availability from 1,224 to 2,050 per day. This represents an increase of 70 percent in daily seat availability.

Customers may purchase air only tickets for round-trip travel through AirTran or their travel agent. Travel packages, including round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations at Beau Rivage can be purchased through Mirage Resorts Vacations, the company's travel division.

"These two developments, the opening of Beau Rivage and the introduction of daily non-stop scheduled jet service from AirTran, will provide convenience and accessibility to the Mississippi Gulf Coast," Beau Rivage Chairman and CEO Barry Shier said. "Within approximately a one hour flight, travelers from major metropolitan cities can experience one of the hottest emerging destinations in the country."
