Casinos Look for Cure to Wintertime Blues

16 July 2000

BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI – July 16, 2000 – As reported by the Sun Herald: "Christmas is simply not the season to be jolly. Not if you happen to be a gambling company CEO. Or an executive casino host. Or a casino cocktail server. It's more of an Ebenezer Scrooge, bah humbug time of year.

"…One ploy the group might be able to pull off this year is a Christmas lights show. Casino executives agreed at the meeting to brighten up the outside of their buildings. And they will decide next month whether to hire a consultant to light up bridges leading to the Coast: the Bay St. Louis bridge, the I-110 bridge and the Ocean Springs bridge..."
