Casinos Become Focus of Miami Mayoral Debate

MIAMI, Florida – As reported by the Miami Herald: "`The Donald'' was invoked -- Trump and Duck -- during an unusual debate Wednesday between Miami Beach mayoral hopefuls, incumbent Mayor David Dermer and challenger Ronald Rickey.

"Rickey, 67, startled the audience at Nikki Beach Club by vowing to legalize casino gambling, if elected. He suggested that Trump, who has been dabbling in investments in South Florida, would be a likely supporter of his plan.

"Dermer noted that legalizing casino gambling was beyond the mayor's control -- it would require an amendment to the state constitution. Then he added, `Whether it's Donald Duck or Donald Trump, casino gambling has no place in this city.'…"
